1. “DO IT RIGHT”:   REAL ESTATE IN COSTA RICA

This is an introductory course that offers an overall vision of the entire Costa Rican legislation concerning real estate transactions.  The following topics are covered: government organization; types of property: title property, untitled property, condominium regime, the Coastline Zone; mortgages, purchase process; corporations; taxes.

2. CONTRACTS

Aimed at realtors and developers.  In this course, the participants learn how to draft options, purchase-sale agreements, offers, mortgage deeds.  Plus, in a workshop, they learn about all the documents needed for contract settlement (closing documents).

3. CONDOMINIUMS

In 1999, the “Condominium Ownership Act” was passed.  This legislation has enhanced the development of condo buildings, gated communities and a combination of both, and has made condominiums one of the top real estate options for investors.

4. COASTLINE ZONE

In Costa Rica, there is a special regime for the protection of the coastal areas.  Beachfront property developments are regulated based on the Shoreline Zone Law.
